What is supercritical carbon dioxide (CO2) extractions?

Supercritical CO2 is when you take carbon dioxide (CO2) to its critical point by adding heat and pressure.

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is heated in a pressure cell until it reaches the critical point where it changes into a supercritical fluid, supercritical CO2 is then used for the extraction of essential oils from desired botanicals.

The dissolving powers of supercritical CO2 change with different pressures; this allows the extractor to separate and isolate different compounds from the raw plant material.

Majority of our CO2 products will go through very minimal or NO post processing. We truly believe the extracts are best straight out of the collection vessel.

CO2 is an inert gas, If for some reason all CO2 is not off-gassed before smoking, it poses no harm to the user. (we as humans exhale CO2)

Supercritical CO2 is at the forefront of extractions, the process will leave no residual solvents and therefore it is the healthy way to extract essential oils.
